Premier Hosbilt Drums
These drums, originally designed and built by Craig Colquhoun in Canada, are based on the rope shell tension design, where the shell is truly free-floating. The shell resonance is at its best as there is nothing touching the shell except for the heads.
The revolutionary HOSBILT turnbuckle tensioning system allows the player to equally adjust top and bottom heads with a simple turn of the turnbuckle knob - no keys required!
The drums can be tuned to specific pitches to provide harmonic function. The drums offer a quite outstanding range of tuning options and represent a very significant step forwards for pipe band, marching, and certain orchestral applications.
