Premier's Orchestral Series keyboards are superbly finished with a majestic sound. The note bars - highest quality Honduras rosewood - are 'stretch' tuned so that they become progressively sharper as you move up the instrument which is more pleasing to the ear than basic equal-temperament tuning. All tuning is carried out electronically in carefully controlled conditions of temperature and humidity in the UK. The excellent note bar sound is improved further by the resonator cap-settings which have been calculated scientifically for optimum acoustic output. The 4.0 octave xylophone features wide note bars whilst the smaller 3.5 octave carries a conventional width. The new frame is fully height adjustable and disassembles into four pieces plus resonators and note bars for easier transportation.
